Our Services

At Hub Well Drilling we are proud to offer a variety of products and services to satisfy the water system needs of all customers whether they are residential, commercial or industrial.

Well Drilling
rigA drilled well is a simple concept. It consists of a hole being bored into the earth and down into a water bearing zone. This could be fractures in bedrock or in an unconsolidated sand/gravel deposit. The upper portion of the well is lined with a steel casing which prevents the softer overburden and rock from collapsing in, and also prevents surface and subsurface contaminants from entering the well. The casing is typically seated in bedrock and the water enters the well below the casing. In some circumstances the water is drawn in through screened or slotted casing.

Pump Systems
Once a well has been completed and developed a pump is used to bring the water from the well into the house.pump The water is then pumped into a pressurized storage tank which is connected to the home's plumbing system. New constant pressure systems eliminate the need for a large storage tank as the multi-speed pumps regulate pressure depending on how much water is being used.
buttonWe offer a variety of submersible pumps of all sizes ranging from 1/3 to 100 horsepower, as well as ranging tank sizes to suit your varying needs.
button We also offer small diameter submersible pumps to fit inside older 4" diameter wells. This will provide the greater pressure and volume associated with newer systems installed today.
buttonAll pumps and tanks typically come with 5 year warranties.

Geothermal Drilling and Grouting
If you are exploring the heating and cooling options for a new house or commercial building, or looking for ways to reduce your energy bills, you may be considering a Geothermal heat pump. A heat pump can provide year-round climate control for your home or building, supplying heat in winter and cooling in summer. Some models can also provide domestic hot water.

At Hub Well Drilling we are pleased to offer services pertaining to the "Loop" portion of the Geothermal System.

When conditions permit and groundwater is plentiful, an "Open Loop" system is typically the most affordable option. In this situation water is pumped from one well through the heat pump which uses the geothermal energy of the water for heating or cooling, and is then discharged into a second well. This system not only supplies for the heating and cooling of a house, but will also serve to provide the domestic water for the house.

In situations where an abundant water supply is not available, a "Vertical Closed Loop" system is another viable option. In this type of system multiple boreholes are drilled (depth and quantity of holes vary based on heating / cooling load), and 1 continuous pipe with a U-bend on the bottom is installed inside. Once the "Loop" is installed, the well is filled from the bottom of the borehole to the surface with a non permeable bentonite grout using a high pressure grout pump. These vertical loops act as large heat exchangers which serve to absorb or disperse heat, depending on heating or cooling modes. These casings and pipes are later cut off below grade and fused together and then piped into the home. The final results of these systems take up no space and can be buried below a driveway or yard.
