Hub Well Drilling was founded by Oran Johnson in 1918, originally under the title O.S. Johnson Well Drilling. The humble beginnings saw Oran running a small horse drawn machine providing water to various members of the community.
After serving with the Royal Canadian Navy in World War 2 Oran's son Ivan became involved with the business in 1945. As demand increased with growing populations, the company expanded to a couple of cable tool rigs and eventually the purchase of our first rotary in 1973
Greg's oldest son, Brian, represents the fourth generation to work within the business. After completing a BBA in 2005 , he worked towards becoming a licenced Driller and Pump Installer. He is currently involved with all day to day operations while also serving on varying boards and committees within the industry.
